Family-Placed Death Notice
BAXTER, John John Edward Baxter, Jr., age 61, passed away Tuesday,
September 9, 2008, He is survived by wife, Martha Baxter of Lilburn,
GA., daughters & sons-in-laws, Lisa & Chris Sam of Danbury, CT, Kristin
Baxter-Hendersons & Dave Henderson of Brookwood, CT, step-sons and their
wives, Robert & Amy Shaffer of Rocky Mount, NC and David & Freedom
Shaffer of Lilburn, GA, brother & sister-in-law, Alan & Louise Baxter of
Monroe, GA and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his
parents, John Baxter, Sr. & Doris Petitt Baxter and brother Larry Baxter
all Of Danbury, CT. John was a loving husband, father, and grandfather
who will be missed by all that knew him. He served his country as a
member of the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and was
a member of the VFW. He was a member of Highland Baptist Church in
Conyers, GA. A memorial Service will be held Saturday, September 13,
2008 at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel at 5:00PM. The family will
receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
