It has been heavily involved in the three missions of the Civil Air Patrol and has been a leader in the state of Georgia, winning many awards for excellence.

Cub Scouting members join a Cub Scout pack and are assigned to a den, usually a neighborhood group of six to eight boys. Tiger Cubs (first-graders), Wolf Cub Scouts (second graders), Bear Cub Scouts (third graders), and Webelos Scouts (fourth and fifth graders) meet weekly."

New  Boy Scout Troop 595 Chartered By VFW Post 5255
The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5255, located in Lawrenceville, GA, proudly announces the chartering of Boy Scouts of America Troop 595. The new Troop, headed by Scout Master Bill Scott, will meet Tuesday evenings at the VFW Post hall, located at 368 Grayson Hwy in Lawrenceville.

Scout Master Scott says Troop 595 is dedicated to the original principles and laws of the Boy Scouts. These principles include a commitment to responsible citizenship in the community and nation, as well as to Family and God. The Troop wants its Scouts to be an example of what has made America great. Instilling these values, while showing the Scouts they can have fun too, is our main goal.  Three of the adult leaders are Eagle Scouts, which gives the Troop a solid foundation to accomplish our goals. Initially, the Troop has nine Scouts, ages 11-16; they look forward to a troop size of 30-40.
